Echo of Windswept Cries (to Natalie)
The mist so thickly smothers my craft I tossed from crest to wave Huddle near this bobbing craft Clutching, my life to save
Then I hear a voice so small Tossed from wave to crest Piercing the echo of windswept cries Distant from the rest
And from behind these foggy eyes Far from my vessel’s weave I sense this presence I recognize From which I cannot leave
